Drank this during the CellarTracker Virtual Burgundy Tasting last night via Zoom. My first experience with any of the wines of Domaine Julien. This was a pop and pour situation and I wished I had given it more airtime because this was suuuuuuper primary and tightly coiled. Loads of tart, wild alpine strawberries, like the Smultron you find in a Scandinavian forest, taking center stage. Tongue pricking acidity. Beyond that, there isn’t much more at this stage in development. However, the purity is beyond typical for a humble Bourgogne and a few years in the cellar would do this a great service. I expect better things when the tannins better integrate and secondary characteristics begin to appear. Drink with an extended decant or hold until 2025. — 6 years ago
mikkeller northern trails at 10,000 feet. Love it. Good job Scandinavian Airlines. — 8 years ago
Starting out our Scandinavian Xmas with a little Riesling. This is fairly dry with a low sugar content and a 10.5ABV. It shows pear and peach on the nose and has nice acidity and minerality on the palate. It's a crowd pleaser and one to rely on. Merry merry everyone. — 10 years ago

Nice balance of sweet and dry, more on the sweet side. Yum. — 8 years ago
Scandinavian Christmas dinner with friends. Ribbe, medisterkaker, medisterpølse, julesaus, potato gratin, lingonberry and filled cucumber salad. Not as big as the hype, but a full bodied Pinot that matched well with the winter spices (cardamom, clove, allspice, ginger). — 9 years ago
Unfiltered Jura paired beautifully with Scandinavian meal. — 9 years ago
They said Cab Sauv doesn't do well this far north. Not true. Here's the myth buster! What a beauty with backbone ...eh!
Gorgeous cassis, Scandinavian licorice, green peppers. A bright Cab with solid tannins and a firm backbone of acidity.
Having said that, there's a wretched history of mediocrity in the Okanagan valley with this grape. — 10 years ago
Rich and herbaceous Bordeaux blend from northern Italy. Nose is all about forrest, resin, leather and wild cherry. Taste is mineral, fruit is rustic and fuzzy behind herbs & licorice with salt - have you ever tested Scandinavian sweeties? It is young and a bit harsh now, but few years in the cellar will mellow it down, then it will show its power. 90pts in advance for this entry level bottle, very interesting young wine with wild claws. Medium body with brilliant crystal clear ruby red color. — 11 years ago

Grinded lightly roasted Scandinavian coffee. Toasted flat bread shavings, lemon and sudachi citrus but gentle. Smoky. Very different from the 1995. Most complex DP I've tried so far. — 8 years ago

Lovely village wine (not any old village of course). Still quite dark (think freshly pressed black cherry juice) but lightening up a little bit at the edge; well defined nose, still hints of primary fruit mixed with autumn leaves and freshly rained out Scandinavian farm soil; still some tannin present but clearly well developed palette. A bit short but still very good! — 10 years ago

Not sure who picked the wines but I’m just ok with this. Scandinavian dinner but I wound have selected a richer wine. This was too austere for me. — a year ago
