Drank with onion and pepper brats and peach, tomato, and corn salad at Grand Lake cousin’s camp (2021). Light mouthfeel, hint of pepper and spice, but the spice might be the peppers. Raspberry, strawberry, and mild blueberries. Lighter than my style but good with the brats and good fruit. — 3 years ago
Cool climate Grenache! Delicate, floral, very elegant. Snap it up. Probably can age 5-10 yrs, but oh so enjoyable right now. 75% Grenache, 25% Syrah from same Demeter certified vineyard. — 3 years ago

We found the 50/50 Viogner/Chardonnay much tastier than the 100% Viogner.
Floral, as expected, but also lots of stone fruit. — 4 years ago
Lite easy to drink it was ok nothing to go crazy over well balanced — a year ago
One of the oldest in my cellar, this 2012 Grenache was acquired from the Qupe wine club. Great after immediately opening and got even better after breathing. Would have liked a little more fruit upfront but balanced tannins provided a smooth and solid finish. — 2 years ago

2020 vintage. First wine I’ve had from Qupé since founder Bob Lindquist no longer with this winery. This effort is a little sweeter and less earthy than 5-6 CC-designated syrahs I tasted under his Rhône Ranger hand over the last three decades. For the price, it’s pretty delicious tho. The single vineyard Qupé syrahs really set the benchmark for what was possible in the Central Coast area for syrah…and grenache…and marsanne…and viognier…and…Part of Bob’s legacy is raising the overall quality of (esp Rhône) varietals in the various CC areas, even with an entry-level effort such as this. For that, we should all be eternally grateful. Thank you, Bob Lindquist. 11.24.23 — 5 months ago
