Rhône Village blend of Grenache (60%), Syrah (20%), Cinsault (15%) and Mourvèdre (5%). Bright garnet color. Aromas of ripe berries, black pepper and roasted meat. Same ripe berries on the pallet with notes of orange zest, black tea and black pepper. A good deal of minerality on the long (but a bit hot) finish. Full bodied and bold. Creamy texture but a bit sharp. — 2 years ago

The description: A lovely aromatic intensity with perfumes of thyme and laurel. The palate is silky with red fruits and soft peppery notes.
The opinion: Accurate. Very good but needs two more years in the bottle. Going back to buy another couple of bottles to cellar. — 10 months ago

Last night I opened the 2019 Domaine de Piaugier Gigondas from À Sablet, France. A blend of 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 20% Mourvèdre.
On the nose is rich plum, blood orange, anise, black olive, reductive notes and potting soil.
On the palate is raspberry, strawberry, black cherry, black pepper, spice, star anise, leather and brambles.
This is a medium to full bodied wine with a velvety polished mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium to medium + grippy tannins that easily move into a long red & black fruit earthy finish. Have a productive week ahead and the next weekend will be here before you know it. Stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — a year ago
Sablet. Medium bodied. Tangy. — 3 years ago
60% grenache and 40% syrah, very low yields (15 - 20 hl/ha). This organic estate goes from strength to strength and this 2016 is a beauty that outshines many a Chateauneuf-du-Pape at twice the price. Black fruit and spices, fresh acidity and noble tannin. Has complexity and very good length too. Terrific value at less than 18 euro. Highly recommended. — 6 years ago

Main impression is dry minerality, but a smooth sweet honeyed base. — 2 months ago
