Very flavorful Côtes du Rhône. Deep ruby color with cherry notes. Paired well with t variety of foods, but especially with red meats. Very reasonably priced. Drank January 2025. — 10 months ago
Rhône Village blend of Grenache (60%), Syrah (20%), Cinsault (15%) and Mourvèdre (5%). Bright garnet color. Aromas of ripe berries, black pepper and roasted meat. Same ripe berries on the pallet with notes of orange zest, black tea and black pepper. A good deal of minerality on the long (but a bit hot) finish. Full bodied and bold. Creamy texture but a bit sharp. — 3 years ago
Delicious! Great nose, somewhat smoky with a hint of tobacco, dark fruits and a lingering finish. This Sabet would pair well with any meats including shrimp or salmon. Could easily be mistaken for a Chateauneuf-du-Pape. — 4 months ago
Red fruit, spice & a bit of minerality. Took some time to open up but was great after. Could wait a bit longer to enjoy this vintage. Good body, smooth finish & balanced acidity. Finished with spice & fruit! — 8 months ago
Last night I opened the 2019 Domaine de Piaugier Gigondas from À Sablet, France. A blend of 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 20% Mourvèdre.
On the nose is rich plum, blood orange, anise, black olive, reductive notes and potting soil.
On the palate is raspberry, strawberry, black cherry, black pepper, spice, star anise, leather and brambles.
This is a medium to full bodied wine with a velvety polished mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium to medium + grippy tannins that easily move into a long red & black fruit earthy finish. Have a productive week ahead and the next weekend will be here before you know it. Stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 2 years ago
Nice fruity Southern Rhone blend, could have used a bit more spice or minerality in the overall flavor profile but was still very enjoyable! — 9 months ago
The description: A lovely aromatic intensity with perfumes of thyme and laurel. The palate is silky with red fruits and soft peppery notes.
The opinion: Accurate. Very good but needs two more years in the bottle. Going back to buy another couple of bottles to cellar. — 2 years ago

Lovely perfume of red fruits, spice and earthy gravelly notes. The same characters come through on the light to medium weight palate with spicy top notes. Fine tannins. Not for cellaring, great to drink right now. First time with this small family owned producer and it won’t be the last. I also bought 2 bottles each of their Gigondas and Vacqueyras Cuvées when I bought 2 bottles of this Cuvée. Great value at only $40 AUD. — 11 days ago
