I've bought this for the past 4 years, and this bottling is the most fruit forward. Candied fruit- apricots, cherries, and dates. The price has gotten out of hand, but it's yummy!

Twice this venomous viper has evaded review. She jumps out and thrashes, coils round and inculcates. A devil of a bite too! Seductive, deceptive nose of caramel creme, rosemary, bay leaf and cinnamon roll. Palatal acupuncture ensues, as you slowly succumb to the hot cinnamon oil and scotch bonnet burn of the first phase. Phase two brings cinnamon and grilled peach with brown sugar cobbles and scotch bonnet honey. And finally the nose and close converge in satin vanilla, cinnamon, cracked black pepper and ginger. .

Well my night just got better. Still have half a bottle from last fall. Fingers crossed I'll get my hands on one this year. This is the most bourbony rye I think I've ever had. It's all there- cherry leather, caramel, cigar box, corn bread. It's so much like Pappy 15 but a little hint of rye 😊

Nose is strong and dominated by spicy alcohol with hidden sweet aldehyde and woody note. Taste is following the fragrance of the noses. Spicy and sweet. Very straightforward. Some nice sweet lychee note is very pleasant as I love lychee. Aftertaste is more lychee note. I kind of enjoying her except a bit too spicy. — 9 years ago
