Let’s face it…drinking any vintage of @domperignonofficial rosé is an incredible experience ~ and there are some serious arguments for 2008 to be the best ~ at the least I can tell you when I popped a cork the other night it was one of the most complete wines I drank all year ~ almost pointless to try and name all the fruits, flowers, herbal, savory and mineral aromatics & flavors ~ probably more important to mention the breadth of palate and gorgeous mousse balanced by focused acidity and energy w near immortal length 🍾🙌 — 10 months ago
Very fine mousse but it disappears really quickly.
Strawberries and cream on the nose very vividly. Sweet whipped cream is almost turning into condensed milk. Raspberry, very ripe peach, coissant woth strawberry jam. All sorts of strawberry associations really :)
On the palette mousse slowly fills the mouth, pretty dry on the finish. Brioche, pear, red apple, confiture.

Nice traditional rose from Provence, France. Dry, light, easy to drink on hot day — 10 months ago
First bottle of honeymoon wine at the Mark Hopkins InterContinental In San Francisco! It smells like the best piece of baked brioche bread, the crust specifically. Surprisingly light on the bubbles, almost a pet-nat level of effervescence, but the flavor is straight acidic red fruits, with strawberry and some lemon citrus, and a delicious dry finish. The finish is also mouth drying, but all mineral driven. Very enjoyable pre-dinner sparkling! — 2 years ago
Actually the 21st Edition of the Brut Rose. Colour of Rose Gold like a high quality watch - copper, brass notes in the decadent colour. Aromatics of red currant, pink grapefruit and a hint of honey. An ultra fine mousse always found in prestige Champagne. The palate is all about Intensity showing the red fruits, spice and general influence of high quality Pinot Fruit. Much of this edition is based on the excellent 2008 vintage. A memorable Rose Champagne as expected - matched with Danish mussels Georgie brought from Copenhagen for my 71st Birthday - happy days. — 5 months ago
Slightly sweet without being cloying at all. Enjoyable on a hot day with dinner. From Juan Jasper $35 — 9 months ago
Notes are cumbersome, so no notes today but plus side, scores are honest and I should be a professional reviewer, LOL. (Good, but not 2019 good, detailed notes on future bottles...)
On the Lawn at Tanglewood this final afternoon with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our guest conductor Michael Tilson Thomas is leading IVES (Psalm 90) and BEETHOVEN (Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Opus 125).
After a two-year pause, we arrive again to the day when Beethoven concludes on these hallowed grounds. The 9th by Beethoven is always bittersweet for us, as it marks the end of the official Symphony and Pops season for the BSO at their Summer home. It is a wonderful and singularly emotive piece moved with the full force of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus (110+) conveying the message of a divine spark of joy that makes all people one. The music and the day almost bring me to tears on an annual basis...
