Force of Nature Red Blend 2020

Recommend to me as a cheap crowd pleaser and it sure holds up. Full of fruit and fairly sweet—great for a movie night with friends but would be disappointing alone. — a month ago

True Colours Pinot Noir 2023

Nice flavours of raspberry, cherry and red fruit. Well balanced in terms of softness and tannic. Very drinkable. — 3 months ago

Horseshoes and Handgrenades American Red Blend

Combines a lot of wine profiles in this blend. Fruity without being overly sweet. Healthy amount of tannins. Reminds me of a Barbera d’asti maybe, but with a Syrah mouthfeel. Andre Mack knows what he is doing. — 2 years ago

Porongurup Shiraz 2017

Consistent notes from a year ago when we visited the winery in Porongurup WA and spent a wonderful hour with Owner and winemaker Rob Diletti. I love these cool climate peppery Shirazes. Should leave having the next one for a couple of years. — 3 years ago

Rosacker Alsace Grand Cru AOC Riesling 2010

Last bottle 😞
What a Fantastic wine this is. A real bargain, too.
Rich and dry, piles of beautiful minerals, gorgeous oily bittersweet fruitnotes of orangepeel, lemoncurd and peachskin. Pinches of gasoline, paraffine and honeycomb join the party as well.
Standing tall at the age of 14.

Porongurup Riesling 2016

Tasted blind, presented by Sue Bell. I picked Riesling, Australian and missed Porongurups WA. A brilliant Riesling made by Rob Diletti at Castle Rock WA. Lovely aromatics of Musk and Bath Talc. At 5 years the acid had settled and the citrus was going towards stone fruit. Really enjoyed this. — 3 years ago

A first look in on 3-4 bottles purchased from Rob Brost at just over $30.

Nose of nearly overripe floral fruits of; blackberries, creamy black raspberries, dark cherries, poached/slightly baked strawberries, boysenberries & plum. Dry twigs, sandalwood, undertones of crush rocks/limestone, mid berry cola, dark, red florals framed in liquid violets & lavender.

The palate shows nearly overripe, juicy & floral fruits of; blackberries, creamy black raspberries, black plum, dark cherries, poached/slightly baked strawberries, boysenberries & plum. Dark chocolate, mocha, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, clove, soft nutmeg, anise-black licorice, moist, grey clay, drip roasted coffee, dry twigs, barrel shaving dust, undertones of crush rocks/limestone, dry stone, dark spice, light, dry herbs, mid berry cola, dark, red florals framed in liquid violets & lavender, great, rainfall acidity and a smooth, elegant, richly polished finish that last 45 seconds.
