This is the third time I've had a bottle of this wine and my fourth time tasting it overall and I've got to up my original score from 8.6 to 9.0. This is really a tremendous wine for the price (RRP $35). Completely opaque with bright crimson red edges. The nose which I'm now coming to realize is very much reflective of the Yarra Valley terroir with lots of ripe red fruit up front and white pepper and baking spices on the secondary. The palate is a mirror image and there's some grip on the finish which is great. I truly love the Heathcote Shiraz's but this wine has me interested in what the Yarra Valley has to offer
