Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2019

2019 vintage and the best I’ve tasted from non-estate Roar. Don’t even think about drinking this without at least a 4 hour decant. Came together on day 2 and was still singing on day 3. This is a roaring Pinot that pulls no punches. Gorgeous and well integrated. Ripe dark fruit flavor and nicely acidic. Cheers! — 4 years ago

Dom Pérignon

Brut Champagne Blend 1999

Magical Dom for beach weekend in Phuket. Bottle was a little concerning as the cork came out a bit too easily and no pschttt. However the nose revealed right away that this was going to be special. Almost toffee and brioche notes on both the nose and the palate. Classy, complex with caramel and burned sugar notes, but almost weightless. Will remember this one for a while — 4 years ago
