Mending Wall

Mortar & Stone Napa Valley Red Blend 2022

Second K Laz tasting - don’t love this one - has a plasticity to it - smells like a Merlot, and a bit sour on the palate - very surprising given the pedigree (Thomas RB etc) — 2 months ago

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC)

Romanée-St. Vivant Pinot Noir 2005

This was my 2nd favorite flight with both wines showing red & black fruits, earth & spice. I slightly preferred the RB over the RSV for its soaring aromatics & long finish. Splitting hairs as both wines were really superb! — 3 years ago

Domaine Leroy

Richebourg Pinot Noir 1980

The 80 Leroy RB was the groups favorite of the night. The 78 RSV was not the best btl seemed clunky & starting to fall apart. The Monty was served with the cheese course. Amazing lineup of wines tonight! — 3 years ago

Surprised how big & structured the 09’s showed compared to the 10. I slightly preferred the RB — 3 years ago
