Nose of smoke and truffles expands to cherry and earth as the wine opens up. Dense and rich in the mouth, medium-to-full bodied, with a long, complex finish that doesn't end. The dusty tannins are just beginning to yield a drinkable wine; good now through 2023.

Opened one hour no decant. Great aromatics, rich and beautifully balanced.

Upon opening the nose gives way more than palate. Underripe strawberry, mulberry, pomegranate with cedar shaving and forest floor. 2-4hrs in decanter and its singing. More red juicy fruit, forest floor with mushroom and minerals (crushed stones) and the lean quality giving way to juicy acid and mouth coating tannins. With Coq Au Vin it was a damn good way to start the weekend.
