Poggio San Polo Brunello Di Montalcino DOCG 2012: Medium body. Medium tannins. Classic Brunello color & attributes: Evolving red & dark fruits, tobacco, leather, herbs & spice; ending the a smooth pleasant finish. In summary, Brunello bottle four was a nice wine selection for its price point (great QPR!) but not as expressive as the other wines from earlier in the week! Have a great day! Cheers🍷 — 3 years ago

Dark cherry, cooked strawberry, barnyard funk, and floral notes on the nose. More dark cherry on the palate with spices and loamy notes. Good minerality, moderate tannins, high acid, and high alcohol. A rustic feel that should match well with earthy meals. — 5 years ago

This wine is medium-dark garnet. It has a fresh, ripe nose with a hint of funk present. The palate is full of bright, red fruit. Cherry, currant and raspberry flavors dominate, with a brisk mouthfeel of acidity and tannins. A savory side takes its cues from the earthiness found on the nose. Pair it with spaghetti and meatballs. — 24 days ago
