55 % Pinot Noir & 45% Chardonnay.
Well structured and balanced, crafted in the traditional method, Stardust opens with aromas of toast and lightly roasted nuts. Flavours of apple, lemon, some smokiness, and maybe vanilla. Very fresh for 10 yrs old and a worthy partner for mixed sushi. — 15 days ago
This wine has a beautiful amber colour & comes from one of Canada’s greatest despite wineries (despite it’s relative lack of profile).
There’s a bit of body to this wine and a nice sour apple tinge animating it. An impressive take on orange wine. — 15 days ago
Really great! Smooth and deep and ready to drink. Would@definitely get again same notes as a cab from sequoia frogs but less alcoholic and tanic — 9 days ago
Bottle number 1644 of 6000 back in 2005. Major Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend, along with Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Syrah. Double decanted and aerated for two hours. Deep garnet/ruby color with a clear rim.
At un-corking the nose is full of game blood; as the wine opens up; it evolves to scents of wood, blackberries, over ripe plum, sweet tobacco, and slight hints of dry spices.
After a couple of hours the mouthfeel is extremely balanced with iron, vanilla, jammy dark fruit, and dry mushroom. It is round and complex with dialed down alcohol, low but fresh acidity, supple tannings, and an enduring finish.
All in, this is a beautifully aged great old wine. I love it! — 23 days ago
Light and fruity. Similar to California Pinot but with less acid. — 16 days ago
Underrated. That Rolland influence and nose. Qpr/Bang for the buck fully engaged. That velveteen pincushion of flavor impressions present and accounted for. — 23 days ago
