Actually a blend of Cab Sauv, Castelão, Syrah, Touriga Nacional and Alicante Bouschet. This wine is a very dark purple, almost inky. The nose is also dark, showing blackberry notes alongside savory tobacco, spice and earth, all in a very smokey framework. The palate of this interesting blend is nearly stunning. Tannins have a good grip, but the blue fruit flavors are amazing and the acidity leaves the sipper salivating. It seems bizarre to me that this wine cost less than $10. It drinks like it should cost much more.

This is a great afternoon summer wine. Lots of citrus very pleasant finish no bitterness on the end. Would pair well with lighter seafood dishes. — 7 months ago

This wine is an example that price has nothing to do with quality. Lots of fruity sweetness balanced with acidity, and with vanilla and tobacco. — 2 years ago
Too fruit driven for me - not my style but good. — 4 months ago

Douro blend, bright and crisp acidity when first open. Some red fruit and pepper notes. Mellow tannins. Full body showing up late with more air. Low alc at 13.5%. Nice. — 5 days ago
