De Ponte Cellars

Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2011

Beautiful balance of bright cherry, forest floor, hints of thyme/herbs, and brambly red fruit. Drinking well 11 years in. — 3 months ago

Lonesome Rock Ranch Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2021

Inky ruby. A bit effervescent. White pepper, mushroom, strawberries, and raspberry. Savory more than fruity. Fairly light and very smooth. — a year ago

De Ponte Cellars

Baldwin Family Reserve Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2012

Exceptional small production, Goldilocks vintage, 2012. Full palette, significance of soil, layers of flavors roll throughout. Delightful stink of the barnyard so to speak. Loved it. — 5 years ago

Alma Terra

Ponte Rias Baixas Albariño

Sharp aromas of flowers, pine and pineapple makes this distinctive Albariño from a single vineyard by the Rias Baixas region in Galicia, Spain to differentiate from others. Falls on the dry side and does not have a lingering long finish. A perfect companion on any seafood pairing. — 3 months ago

Pinot Noir Loma Alta 2015

Great Pinot for Turkey Day dinner. Aromas of dark cherry, plum, blackberry, leather, and earth. On the bud, it has a wonderful finish with a nice spice note and more plum. Unfortunately, it’s my last bottle on this vintage. — a year ago

La Loma Daroca Ribera del Jiloca Garnacha

Tight and structured old-vine Spanish Grenache, this likely needs 3-5 years more in the cellar, nice balance, medium-long finish, should improve. — 4 months ago

@Vin d’Ottawa, are you referring to Spanish Grenache, or Grenache more broadly. I drink many Grenache from the Rhône much older than 10, even 15, years!!

Cheers, I’m talking specifically about Spanish Garnacha. I don’t know how the French do the grape.
