Super Tuscan blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (58%), Cabernet Franc (29%) and Merlot (13%). Dark ruby color. Aromas of red and black fruit, anise, purple flowers and leather. Flavors of black cherry/plum/berry fruit, black licorice, cocoa powder and sweet baking spices. Lovely mineral and minty tones on the long and lingering finish. Silky tannins and a velvety texture. Guado al Tasso San Walfredo 100% Merlot. 2019. Deep, dark ruby coloration. Just opened, On the nose, dark cherry, currants, Florals, oak, and leather with a Touch of vanilla. On the palate, cherry, vanilla, and oak, full bodied and robust. Strong tannins. Will resist after some decanting. Red berry and floral fragrance more prevalent after a little more time decanting. Revisiting again after significant decanting: abundant black cherry, oak and vanilla and on the nose. On the palate, rather jammy fruit, black cherry and berry. A long finish of black cherry, anise, oak and vanilla. Bold, lush and strong tannins. Very, Very long finish. Complex and layered. — 2 years ago
Amazing nose - absolutely just filled with truffles! AMAZING. Don’t need to drink it. Enjoy the nose that in itself is already an absolute pleasure! — 4 years ago

This 4 year old Super Tuscan Merlot is drinking very nicely now. Nicely balanced and elegant. Complex and entertaining.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, and balance itself out.
Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.
Wine Spectator 94 points.
I had the 2021 vintage a couple of years ago at the winery, and it was much better. The 2022 vintage was not as good as the 2021, so there's that.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with food.
100% Merlot grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
14% alcohol by volume.
