More nutty (cashew) than fruit driven on the nose. A delicate light to medium weight palate - some grapefruit notes. A great example of cool climate Chardonnay with fruit from Tumbarumba. Later vintages of Bin 311 now include fruit from other renowned cool climate districts like the Adelaide Hills and Tasmania. A class act. Tasted another bottle 34 weeks later on 12th March 2022 with similar notes. Ripe grapefruit - an excellent Chardonnay. Had my last 2015 on 2nd February 2023 with consistent notes as above. — 4 years ago
As previous Delectable notes. Still whole bunch notes with an aromatic red fruited perfume. A luscious texture in the mouth with great length. From the most southerly vineyard in Australia. Typical of the terroir of the d’Entrecasteaux channel south of Hobart. Similar to its illustrious neighbour, Home Hill Estate. — 4 months ago

Very good Chardonnay. Tasmania? Who know? Gotta go. — 2 years ago
When in Rome do as the Romans. Currently on Bruny Island south of Hobart and enjoying the local bounty like Oysters and Fish and this lovely Pinot Noir from Pooley who are in the Coal River district. Lovely aromatics of dried red and black cherry with a whole bunch influence. A light to medium weight palate. — 3 years ago
This is Penfolds best expression for Pinot Noir being made from fruit sourced in the Adelaide Hills, Henty and Tasmania. Just had a glass with the entree. Mid crimson in colour with a tawny brown rim. Aromas and flavours in the stewed red fruit spectrum. Soft tannins - drinking well now. — 4 years ago

Certainly in the conversation as to the quirkiest producer name. From the d’Entrecasteaux Peninsula south of Hobart where there are other big names in Tassie Pinot like Home Hill Estate. No specific notes but these wines have that trademark voluminous mouth feel you get from this terroir - surprisingly for the cool/cold climate. Red and black fruits. Delicious is an overused descriptor but there is no other word to describe this. — 2 months ago
