Exceptional wine - elegant Rutherford intensity with Trujillo finesse. Black cherry, cassis, black plum, violet, bramble, hints of vanilla and cedar, it’s just starting to show cigar box, tobacco, and forest floor. The wine is dense but elegant with considerable finesse. The fruit is still forward but beginning to show tertiary character. Silky tannins and acidity balanced with the fruit. Straw-golden with hyperactive bubblings and a cottony topper of shocked white. Spooky lacings of hunching spiders with multiple eyes. Clean and crisp aromas of crunchy baked rolls, Marcona almond, baked soy nut, chestnut, and panko bits. Light lemony citrus and pith lift the palate, and soft bread centers round out the back and includes white sesame. Buzzy effervescent yeast singing throughout. @Hiwire_Hanna
