A lovely blend of malvasia and vermentino, a bit acidic at first, light and easily paired with meat or fish, slightly effervescent, for me personally no discernible flavor yet very tasty in its own right. — 4 years ago

Fit fine foxy Phoenix — 10 years ago
Ancient skin-contact tradition is handled with modern restraint; this wine is calm, precise, and quietly rebellious. Refreshing with a med body and a bright citrus peel with sea mist profile. Props to the Somm at Wren & Wolf in Phoenix. This was the most interesting wine of my trip. — 5 months ago

Sow's ear -> silk purse. Lemons -> lemonade. Ashes -> Phoenix. Or something like that. Whatever the crappy input was, the output is juicy glou-glou American vin du soif by way of Beaujolais with a sidecar of natty Southwest France. I want this all the time. (Though not at the expense of declassing all the single vineyard fruit that's in here.) Even better when you're glamping in Baja. @Hardy Wallace — 8 years ago

This is the Garage Wine Co. 2017 Phoenix Frement. I’ve asked Delectable to add it.
One of the more enjoyable nights we’ve had on the trip was meeting Derek Mossman - Owner/Winemaker of Garage Wine Co. and tasting through 15+ wines at his house and then going out to dinner to enjoy the best two wines. The next day we got up and picked in his Truquilemu Vineyard; which is about 35km from the coast.
Macerated lemon, a little cream, citrus blossoms, underripe pineapple, melon, light chalkiness, passion fruit, guava, white flowers, granite mineral, very good acidity and a rich polished finish.

Sipping Fine Wine
Blend of 58% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby red color with aromas of dark fruits, herbs and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry, blackberry and plum with vanilla, spice and herbs. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and slight earthy mineral tones. — 3 months ago
