I think that this is the best young Kongsgaard Chardonnay that I've tasted so far. While it offers its telltale lemon oily richness and rich texture, this vintage also adds nuances and freshness thanks to a less obvious oak treatment. Well done, John!

This, along with the Aubert tasted, are pinnacles in their field as far as US whites are concerned. The stone/tropical fruit acidity, minerality, and toast elements were all perfectly in sync. Got better as it got some air and approached room temperature.
