NOSE: distinct black pepper! Maybe the clearest black pepper I’ve ever smelled in a wine. Other savoury spices also, both savoury and baking - I pick out cardomom. Also plum and muted blackberry. A dash of vanilla. Almost like fruity bitters. Hmm!
TASTE: VERY peppery, iron, leather -medium weight at most, not heavy or lush, but not thin either. Very dry black plum and spice [rosemary???], some dry wild berry. Bitter tea on the finish. I think this would go great with BBQ beef with a spicy dry rub. Well made. 90-91.

Arterberry Maresh’s premier vineyard. Lots of cranberries, bitters, and tangerine skin. Sweetbreads with dijon caper glaze made my wheatleigh’s sous chef to pair — 3 years ago
Pop and pour. A remarkable light gold color. On the nose: subtle notes of lemon, toasty vanilla oak , green apple, honey, slight pineapple on the end. Taste: creamy, soft, juicy wine with mandarin, minerals, honey, plenty of butterscotch, pineapple, hint of white pepper, and a dry slightly herbal bitters medium plus finish.... Eeh. — 3 years ago

Again a bottle to my liking. So guess that previous one was off. High in acids, tangerine fruits, classic bitters — 3 months ago
