Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.
Fruity nose with cherries, plums, blueberries, black currants, vanilla, spices, cedar, earth, light vegetables, chocolates, mocha, tobacco, peppercorn and light alcohol.
Full-bodied and bold with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black currants, blueberries, cherries, raspberries, leather, smoke, vegetables, vanilla, earth, tobacco, cola, oak, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, vinaigrette and peppercorn. Very nice complexity.
Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a very enjoyable Petit Verdot from California. Brings in a great mouthfeel with nice complexity and the tangy finish makes it interesting.
Has a lot of alcohol so watch out as it is very easy drinking.
Needs 30 minutes of airtime to open up properly and remove some of the acidity. Will age nicely in the next 5 years.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with cheeses, nuts and olives.
14.8% alcohol by volume.

Chilean Petit Verdot Cabernet Franc blend. One of the noticeable aspects is the smell of dark stewed plums and campfire smokiness. The other is the dark burgundy colour that is almost black. The wine has an amalgamation of flavours that hits you right off the first sip. Plums, black cherry, dark chocolate, espresso that are very well balanced together. This is followed by a very mild peppery spice, velvet and chewy leathery tannins that linger long after. Excellently structured. If you find it, buy it. — 16 days ago
Tasted at the Taste of Yountville.
Deep purplish ruby red. Thick and layered nose coated with graphite, bitter cocoa, cinnamon, some vanilla, plush blackberries and some blueberries. Medium plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Very structured palate with rich layers of black fruits, cassis, black currants, baking spices and crushed gravel. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2040.

Great simple Chablis.. green fruit and citrus characteristic of the region. Light/med body medium finish. Creamy and drinkable.. great for sunny days on the back porch with your bubble gum hanging out. — 3 days ago
100% stainless steel Grand Cru. I like it. Terrific wine. I adore 2017 white burgundy. Very pure and very mineral nose. Green apple skins and terrific mineralic depth. Palate is racy and classically Chablis as can be. Terrific power and concentration with so much mineral. Fruit is only barely there green apple and pear. So fresh and deep. This is really terrific. — 20 days ago
Color of deep purple. Nose and f cocoa, chocolate, dark fruits, raisin, powerful tobacco leaves, and a bit rose note. Nose is plenty and powerful. Taste of dark cherry, sweet grapes, a bit too watery considering the note is powerful, mellow tannins, medicinal note, tobacco leaves, and a bit spice. Aftertaste is some more medicinal note, a bittersweet, and a bit cranberry. Above average. — 14 days ago
