A blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon & 2% Cabernet Franc, aged 22 Months in 75% New French Oak, grapes dominated by concentrated mountain fruit (Atlas Peak) but sourced from all over Napa. Deep Ruby, medium+ aroma intensity of berry fruits, sweet and pungent spice. On the palate flavors of strawberry, currants and black plum fruit, black pepper, cacao and vanilla spice with slight citrus notes. Chewy structured firm tannins, good integration with lively acidity, great mouthfeel, a big wine with a long finish ending with fruit and fragrant spice. Tasting Sample! — a day ago
First wine I’ve tried that was 100% petit verdot and wanted to see what it brings to the table in blends. While this one has some artifacts, I get the floral notes and dark fruit, the vanilla. It’s full bodied. I love this one but might be pricey at 75, for what you get. Correction: it’s 49 so I will pick up a bottle. — 12 days ago
Inky dark color. This wine is perfect for patio sitting on a cool Fall night. Nothing petite about it. Big, masculine, and lots of tannins. Blueberries and licorice. The long finish provides a hint of pepper. Well balanced. The 2012 is still my favorite, but with time this should improve even more. — 12 days ago
Nice find. Tabacco, dark chocolate notes and oak, caramel and coffee on the palate. When I bought it I did not pay attention to the blend proportions and I was expecting more of the tannat and PV but after I saw it it totally makes sense. Enjoyed even more accompanied by my best friends. — 9 days ago
This is a dark wine, one with some heft to it, and a brawny feel. The nose is full of blackberry and plum aromas, laced with vanilla and mocha. The palate is a burly delight - fruity with a savory edge, firm tannins a healthy acidity. If you want steak, get this one. It’s ready.

I have held onto this for a few years and it could easily age another decade or more. Tea rose, blueberry, and hints of anise and baking spice on the nose give way to rich blueberry, olive, white pepper and sage notes on the palette. Tannins are big but not overpowering. This wine is seriously yum! — 9 days ago
"well impress at any occasion with aromas of vintage violets from a bygone era, color so deep that it draws in light itself, and tannins proud enough to hold its own in your glass" — 16 days ago
