Royal St. Robert Cuvee named in honor of Dante and Carlo Mondavi's grandfather who taught them to be committed to excellence. Medium Ruby color with layered aromas of fresh berry fruits with floral and smoky spice notes. On the palate flavors of strawberry and raspberry with cigar box, oak, tea, citrus and herb floral notes. Well balanced, savory fine tannins, long finish ending with oaky earthy notes. My sister would rate it a 10 but she’s also drank most of the bottle so I’m gonna go with a 9.2 because she is generally reliable but ya know…wine! — 4 months ago
Aroma has a touch of diacetyl but it's light enough to be pleasant. Loads of currant and with a heavy cocoa, tobacco, and slate finishing note. Drinks surprisingly light for as dark and heavy as it smells. Very fruity with a lot of acid but a tannic finish that quenches the acid. Very nice wine. — 5 months ago

dry enough for nicole, but not tooo dry. The rosé version of this is even better in her book :). i agree… hints of green apple and dry enough. — 2 months ago
3.4. A very good bargain for a smooth Bordeaux, nice mix of fruits, minerals and tannin, somewhat mid-bodied, with smooth finish. Deep red with good nose. On sale for $11.99, regularly $14.99. — 5 months ago
