PnP. Dark red/maroon color. Cigarettes, BBQ, and incense on the nose. Similar on the palate. Fairly big wine. Not my style, but I’m sure others may love this. — 5 days ago

Cristom

Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2021

One of these days I’ll give this wine the proper cellaring it needs. Bigger style, good guts, imagine it would age beautifully. Nonetheless, it was delicious as always. — a month ago

Oregon Pinot Noir 2021

Really good Oregon Pinot Noir. Dark cherry, oak, cranberry and tins if vanilla and some mineral on the finish. Low tannins but enough acid to pair great with food. Great QPR for under $15 at Binny’s. — 20 days ago

The Four Graces

Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2022

Steve & Paula Black pursued a dream in 2003 and purchased a 110-acre vineyard located in the Red Hills of Dundee creating The Four Graces, named after their four daughters. Medium Ruby with surprisingly complex aromas of red fruits, herb and spice. On the palate cherry and raspberry flavors with tea and espresso notes adding a bit of pepper spice. Well balanced acidity with fine tannins, medium(+) length, ending with earthy notes. Nice value! — 14 days ago

Quilceda Creek

Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

2021 vintage. Tasted via Coravin. So. Much. Sweet. Oak. Much less concentration, mineral influence and grip than expected/recalled from previous vintages. Granted, tasting this 15 years too youthfully but, still, underwhelming. Honestly, a total waste of my time. Hurtz to say that as I consider this as one of, if not THE, best WA wine made. Just never rocked the boat, in a positive way, in any aspect. Would get totally blown out in a blind CA/WA/BDX Cab/Cab blend tasting in the $40-$50 range. Unimpressive. 5.29.24. — 22 days ago

I opened a 2000 a year or two ago and thought “this is too young”…the oak still so pronounced.
