Perfumed nose. Rich, deep cherry and tar layers. Firm structure but forward. Heaviest 750 ml bottle I've ever held! — 2 months ago
This is what I think of when I think of Rioja. Dried cherry and cranberry is what I get right away, and then it has more savory/earthy notes like leather and mushroom. When I tasted it I said “it tastes old.” That is a compliment. Hints of vanilla and spice. Felt elegant with a long finish. Had it with fatty new york strips. Tannins and acidity balanced it well. Not a loud wine, but a great one. — 4 months ago
2023 vintage - it opened brighter than expected with bold ripe flavors and more fruit forward than expected. It was a nice surprise. After 30 minutes the flavors balanced a bit and tasted less bright and fruity and more balanced. The wife and I enjoyed the bottle. — 5 months ago
Bought at Seghesio 10/2025. Always a great go to wine. Full bodied, full fruit, balanced with tannins. — 8 months ago
Ten years post vintage, the 2016 shows little sign of age. Dark, warming, smooth and rich. Dusty tannins and the 15.5% alcohol has mellowed as has the typical peppery bite on the back-end of Zins. All around, still drinking great — a month ago
Drink now or cellar. This is an elegant, velvety, Pinot that never disappoints. — a month ago
Beautiful zin with full, silky body. Black and red fruits, plum, and fingers with smooth tannins. Great wine. — 3 months ago
Wow, so big, so fruity, a bit sugary. It’s old school cool, like a true OG CA Zinfandel. — 4 months ago
Nice easy Malbec. Had with Sarah with pizza — 5 months ago

This lovely old vine Zinfandel blend is still wonderful, the oldest Bedrock in my cellar, long, lingering finish! — a month ago

I have a cold, but it has a strong, yet enjoyable flavor. I like how dark of a wine it is. — 2 months ago

Bob McDonald

Unmistakably Central Otago to my palate. Red plums and raspberries. 20% of the grapes were whole bunch. Also aged in 27% new oak. I must mention Neil Martin’s famous Quote, “ Whenever there is a tasting designed to challenge the supremacy of Burgundy, it is usually Felton Road that is ushered into the ring”. Very much on allocation these days and can be difficult to source. — a month ago
