Dark color. Not quite India ink, but deep maroon. Smells like blueberry pudding and heavy cream. Hint of fresh chopped redwood bark. Flavors are dense with a classic petite Sirah inky-ness with blueberry syrup and purple plum compote. This is a big delicious red. Drink with red meats, grilled. Or hard, salty cheeses. — a year ago
Ok. Harsh and not worth it for the price to get again but interesting to try. Deep fruit and earthy. — a year ago
“Damn it, Jim, I’m a winemaker, not an English professor!”
Despite the unfortunate confusion between possessives and contractions, this is a superlative red blend. Delicious blueberry and pepper spice flavors predominate. The body is big and strong without being overbearing. There’s a lot of sediment there, so best to decant or filter. — 2 years ago
This wine, while from the superlative Destiny Ridge vineyard in Horse Heaven Hills, Washington, is actually called simply “Destiny”.
Alexandria Nicole Cellars releases Destiny once per year. This is their Bordeaux style blend or Meritage. The 2019 vintage is 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec, and 2% Carmenere.
The up-front tastes are dark chocolate and plums, with a large body and a complex chalky finish. There's some lingering dried currant flavor; this is not a sweet wine by any measure. The residual sugars are low and it has very restrained oak. It sports that familiar Washington earthy terroir.
While this could be a great food wine, we enjoyed it as a delicious cocktail. — 2 days ago

This is a delicious PetS, not too jammy. It has intense blueberry and raspberry flavors, with that distinctive undertone, peculiar to Washington reds, and tastier than it sounds,, of chocolate-covered mushrooms. — 9 months ago
