Pale to mid Lemon in colour. Barrel ferment characters, leesy funky, touches of butterscotch and stone fruit. Went through malolactic. Some would say “worked”. Needless to say a lot of good winemaking on show here. Palate is more citrussy than stone fruit with a balanced creaminess very persistent flavours. A lovely and well made Chardonnay by Nic Peterkin. His dad founded Pierro who make one of the best Chardonnays in Margaret River and therefore Australia. His mother, Shelley, is the daughter of Di and Kevin Cullen ie. Margaret River royalty. Ordered this expecting Pinot Grigio. Tastes good but more full bodied. Nic tart fruit not sweet. Very interesting because I was expecting crisp and light. But it’s more full bodied and not light abs refreshing. I do like. — 5 years ago

アプリコット、洋梨、甘い香りと、ちょっと酵母感のある香り。初めは少し微発泡して、ちょっと還元気味だけど、少し時間が経つといずれも解消。
初日はしっかりした果実味。上品な甘さなので、そんなに嫌味はない。そして、旨味。
