A lovely melding of Old World finesse and New World exuberance. Green apple, pear, white peach, ripe lemon oil, flint, acacia, and the barest hint of toasted brioche. Mouth watering acidity but not at the expense of texture. Long, beautifully ripe finish. Stunning. — 2 years ago
Sweet white. Very nice honey taste — 4 years ago
We had the 2014 Vintage on 8/18-19/24. A Napa wine that is influenced by Bordeaux. A bouquet of black fruit, tabacco and menthol. Black cherry, black currant and sandalwood spice. Full bodied, New World with a hint of Old. Very good — 4 months ago
Mates Vineyard is considered the best of the Kumeu River Chardonnay Cuvées but to be honest they are all delicious. This has such stone fruit intensity on the palate together with ripe grapefruit and Cashew. All in balance and drinking superbly. An outstanding new world Chardonnay. A few years left in its drinking window. It will always have that superb fruit and will develop a little more complexity - have the last 2019 in a year or two. — 8 months ago
I preferred the Enemigo red much more than this white #chardonnay it is a new world style with some tropical fruit aromas and a new oak undertone with hints of coconut. It is a well-made wine, fine and delicate. #argentina #mendoza — 4 years ago
This just happens to be excellent. Very burgundy like. In fact blind this would be tough. Exuberant sour cherry and cherry. Incredible tannins. Unspitable! Hint pine. Lemon. Hint elderberry. I am a fan. With age this will be interesting to follow. Perhaps because of the extra fruit may be may be i would have guessed new world……????? A new world pinot with elements of the old world: some fruit, forest floor, umami notes, spice. — 3 years ago

Starts off with sweet-ish lime and fresh, crisp acidity. Give it some tima and a remtalising buttery reward begins adding deptg and conplexity to your glass. Stone fruits a standout. One of the best new world charddy... — 4 years ago

See previous note 71 weeks ago. Barely medium weight but a good rendition of a new world Rhone blend. A nice little note of tar (char) after the sweet red fruit on the mid palate - Grenache based blend with Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Counoise. Very savoury at the finish. A very easy wine to drink - great QPR. — 4 months ago
