Pop and pour. Fascinating. Entirely unlike any rendition of Kirchspiel from this producer that I have ever tasted. On the nose: peach, ripe guava, and a strong coffee/toast note, vaguely reminiscent of von Winning's Pechstein. On the palate more as expected: lovely acidity, amazing density, light lemon cotton candy, followed by dense lemon oil and lime. Lovely contrast, and an elegant tangy finish. Yum! — 4 years ago

More or less the same aspect as the Pucelles, medium gold in colour . A lot more reserved and younger on the nose , more linear and mineral , seashell, light lemon and some white flowers . This is discreet , at least on the nose , on the palate however this is intense but linear and focused , with a touch of lemon oil , but mostly chalky mineral , seashell notes , long vibrant length . Really fresh and vital though there is good mouthfeel , just a hint of toastiness on the finish . Long and fine , fresh and still young . From now and over the next 5- 10 years . Also a late release from the domaine , with wax capsule and Diam cork. — 5 months ago

1995 vintage. Light-medium body. Opened but not decanted. High neck fill. Solid cork. Relatively light sed. Tasted after one hour. Dusty with velveteen notes up front and a gradual thinning of intensity on the finish. As per the LR style, no explosive characteristics, only a seamless quality evident. Yes. Pop and pour, notes from 3 hrs open. As with the Pur Sang, this needs a lot of air right now. With air, this is stunning. Gooseberry, sour apple, lemon oil, mint leaf. On the palate: great density and richness, but balanced by fantastic acidity. Mint-infused oil, lemon peel, lovely herbal notes. Lovely, clean finish. — 6 years ago

Mid Lemon in colour. Aromas of White Citrus flowers and a note of Mandarin. Lime and lemon on the palate with the citric acid having settled down from its youth. Not particularly complex - just a refreshing German dry Riesling 12% ABV. Good QPR at about $35AUD. Tasted again 18 weeks later on 16th January 2021 with similar impressions. There was mandarin, citrus oil and honey. No complexity to speak of but fresh and well presented - from an excellent producer. — 6 years ago
