Mount V just makes lovely Cab Savs! Still had tannin structure for 3-5 additional years of cellaring. — 2 days ago
On the nose and palate are concentrated notes of crème de cassis, juicy blackberry, plum, purple fig, mulberry, violet, black licorice, anise seed, peppercorn, clove, vanilla, cardamom, leather, and forest floor. The palate is dry with medium (+) acidity, a medium (+) body, high alcohol (14.5% ABV), and velveteen tannins with a persistent finish.

From magnum this wine was fresh, crisp, mineral, with delightful aromatics reminiscent of citrus. While perfect for the meal being consumed, I was more measured in my assessment of a score! — a month ago
Continuing quest to taste as many 22’s as possible.
Beautiful honeysuckle notes, Meyer lemon and spring flowers on the nose.
The palate show a good presence of Meyer lemon right at the top. Butterscotch notes, honeysuckle-honey comb, apricots, yellow peach, ripe, syrupy pineapple, cream, slivered almonds, saline, flinty notes, limestone marl, toast, some soft white spices, lots of moist to mushy chalk, yellow & spring flowers, excellent, round acidity and a well made, elegant, round, lush, finish that lasts 90 seconds landing on spice & minerals.
This will merit another point of two with appropriate age but still hard to justify $240 a bottle. The strong lemon presence needs time to calm. — a month ago
Deep cherry red. Black currant. Vanilla. Gentle aroma. Silky tannin. Superb balance among sweetness, spiciness and acidity. Full of elegance. Mount Eden Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 17 @13750, Yang, 241222 — 12 days ago

Presented double-blind. The wine appears a straw color; medium viscosity with no signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of orchard fruit: apples, lemon curd, nuts and lees. Lavishly oaked. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and lovely. I called Chardonnay from the United States, California, Napa Valley 2019. So close! Drink now through 2029. — 6 days ago
