Monte De Oro

Monte Dall'Ora

San Giorgio Alto Valpolicella Classico Superiore Corvina Blend 2015

N: smashed strawberries, tobacco, licorice, mascarello cherries, dirt,
P: Nice tannic grip, Black cherries, lots of earth, a buoyant frame, definitely concrete and old fourdes. I’m so glad to have found this. As Louis/Dressner says, if you know all the grapes they grow, you’re probably a master of wine.

Monte Real Gran Reserva Rioja Tempranillo 1970

Pretty on the nose and amber at the edges. Orange peel, dark cherry, roses. All quite subtle. A little short and tart on the finish — 8 days ago

Monte Ory Rosado Garnacha 2019

I am loving this Rosada from Spain! Full of red berries, kiwis, nectarine, wet river rock and herbs which pop on a nice long finish! Wonderful viscosity..looks like a Rosè but performs as a red. — 16 days ago

Ridge Vineyards

Estate Monte Bello Vineyard Chardonnay 2020

Very delicate and balanced wine, with a strong personality. Subtle notes of pomegranate, grass and citrus, well balanced acidity and sweetness. It could be cellared for 1-4 years, perfectly enjoyable now. — 11 days ago

Romano Dal Forno

Monte Lodoletta Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend 2015

The best Amarone I have ever had! Blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta and Croatina. Dark ruby color with a hint of red around the rim. Lovely aromas of black fruit, violets, baking spices, and cocoa. Full pallet of dried fig, black plums, black tea, and herbs. Earth and mineral notes on the very long finish. Creamy texture. Tannins are a bit chewy but not over top. Everything about this wine is totally in harmony and no one flavor dominates. Unbelievable! Thank you for sharing this one Kasey and Petey! — 7 days ago

Monte Bello Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2012

The 2012 Monte Bello has had time to open and develop and it’s now perfect for drinking. It can still hold good for another 10 or more years, but it’s reached it’s prime. Plenty of aroma and flavor, with plum and fig dominating, flavors from the cask (mostly wood and subtle smoke) and some black fruit. A delicious wine, very expensive but still worth the price. — a day ago
