Exemplary Chianti. Classic signature of tart cherry and terra cotta with a firm tannic structure and acidity that carries through to the finish. — 11 days ago
Red fruit forward on the nose: fresh cranberries, red cherries, raspberries. Dried herbs: thyme & rosemary. Touch of minerality. On the palate: same fruits, same herbs, touch of spice. Paired well with the ramp pizza from Table, Donkey, and Stick. — a month ago
Ridge,2002, California Monte Bello. Color- dark red purple with slight bricking. Nose—dark blue/red fruit and perfume spice-raisin and creme brûlée throughout with a mint scent lingering. A fantastic luscious feel in the mouth bursting of dark cherry flavors, with some earthy spices, cedar and soft coffee mocha grounds, the sweetness from the creme brûlée is subtlety throughout. A long finish but flavors are restrained and tannins are integrated but not totally resolved giving this wine a definite opportunity to age more. Can’t wait to try in a year or two! — 7 days ago
In a Frasca at home kit. Delicious fruit forward medium light body with great acidity. Really really enjoyed. Got better and better after 2 hours open — 20 days ago
Tonight's wine is the 2017 Ridge Estate Monte Bello Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.
The nose has rich dark fruits of black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, licorice, chocolate, violets, graphite and rich earth.
The palate reveals black cherry, blackberry, black currant, green bell pepper, soft toasted oak, graphite, licorice, spice, violet and earth.
This wine is full bodied filling the mouth with rich notes, medium + acidity and medium + mouth coating grippy tannins that moves nicely into a long black fruit finish. This wine does not disappoint for a second wine from Ridge. I hope your week has been going well and we have all been safe and healthy. Let's look forward to the weekend with more openings. Have a great rest of your week. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 10 days ago
Inviting nose of rich, ripe black cherry and dark plum with a touch of kirsch. On the palate this is surprisingly juicy with bright acidity balancing the ripe black fruit and good backbone of firm, plush, if slightly dry tannins. This has some depth & character and is really good.
Finally a good one from Puglia. — 4 days ago

Decanted 2 hours before drinking. Still a bit primary as the tannins are not yet fully integrated but it is indeed showing terrific now. Shows an excellent balance of richness and elegance. Sweet black and blue fruits, creme de cassis, graphite and hints of licorice. Finishes wonderfully long, alluring and not at all heavy. — 14 days ago
Toasty coconut, caramel apple, and lemon pie nose. Texture is silky, but with a touch on tannin from the wood. Lemony, apple skin, pie crust finish goes on for a loooong time. Fun wine, with a lot going on. Tied in with a mineral tension. — 10 days ago
