Lush and velvety and plump. It’s hard to say restrained fruit forward but that’s what it feels like. It’s not an overwhelming fruit bomb, but it’s a smack you in the face with just the right amount of subtlety. Good structure, even though you can’t even tell any tans or acid or present, deep like almost inky black color. It’s surprising because I found it light and my wife found it heavy and both are right. It actually did not go with our dinner have an Italian style steak with arugula and Parmesan, that’s not the wine‘s fault it’s me choosing the wrong line. Silken expressive, but I don’t wanna call it constrained more like concentrated expression of the wine versus something dynamic and evolving. Absolutely delicious, but also heady and overwhelming. — 2 months ago
Opened yesterday. The nose is very syrahesque right now with blackberry, black pepper, violette, and almost a tiny touch of black truffle. The palate is fresh, broad, with a nice blackberry and pepper typical note, a very soft mouthfeel, some good grip in the rear and that tannic layer carries on over the finish. The finish is long and fruity with the same peppery and blackberry notes, but a tiny bitter note comes about in the end to lift the wine. It's fresh and lively and not really muscular like some Rhône example can be. The vineyard is planted at 600m above see level so maybe this is the reason. It's great stuff from Hervé Bizeul.
I tasted it 2 months ago with friends in a social setting and liked it a tad bit less than now. — a year ago
Everything that makes me happy about wine. Such a great bottle! Will actually go Re-buy. Betsy and I both loved it. Had it by itself in the outdoors in great scenery. — 6 years ago

Weeknight treat. Medium body, creme brulee on nose and some custardy finish but great acid. Just so many great things to love in this chardonnay. I still prefer Ma Belle Fille — 7 months ago
