Molino Loco

Roberto Henriquez

Molino del Ciego Sémillon 2019

I love wines from Chile because I never have a clue what to expect - oddball notes and new combinations of smells and tastes.

Molina del Ciego is Chilean Semillon and smells like soft Peachie O’s and sour tangerine Tang powder. Swerve to minty menthol and white pepper. Big orange tannins and celery bitters for a nice farewell.

Gallinotto Barolo Nebbiolo 2012

Delicious, focused but pronounced individual components like roses and menthol, dried cherries but all coming together with an overall bright appeal. — a month ago

Leradici Barbera d'Asti 2019

Was recommended by kokeman for crispy duck Christmas dinner. Drank at Birocco’s with potato pancakes. A little dry but tasty. Not full bodied like American wines. — 2 months ago

Such good value for money! Really easy drinking and great flavour. Not heavy but succulent enough to be a dinner accompaniment. Just brilliant. — a month ago

Rich and full flavor - cherry, beet - but very smooth light and clean finish — a month ago

Conca Barolo Nebbiolo 2015

Good example of working within the specific properties of nebbiolo grape, rather than making something that is not reflective of its innate qualities. Structured tannins, dry earthiness. Fruit missing a bit here, however. — 2 months ago

Il Molino di Grace

Il Margone Gran Selezione Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2012

Surprising delicate on the nose with dusty cherries, tomato leaf, a touch of baldamico & tobacco leaf - fresh & juicy.
On the palate this is defined by bright cherry acidity, with fine, meaty & juicy tannins, a quite light (thin?) mid palate but a glorious finish. Very youthful and with fantastic drinkability.
From magnum.
