Entry level Sangiovese from a tried and true Brunello estate. Certainly not lacking in structure with black cherries, berries, firm acid, and hearty tannic grip. Pair this with meat lover’s pizza or bolognese. — 6 years ago

Very nice. Enjoyed at the winery and again on our last night in Italy, packing up in Bologna — 4 days ago
Pizza wine! No formal notes but I drank this alongside the Mocali RdM and I found this to be more to my preference. The Ciacci Piccolomini has a touch more polish and class; with a bit more depth while still being very true to place. Don’t get me wrong, the Mocali was good, this was just a touch better in my opinion. — 5 years ago

First wine I have cellared for a decade!
Purchased for $40 in 2015. Gorgeous ruby/garnet color. Cherry, berry flesh, orange zest, vanilla, licorice, and root beer. Crazy good balance. This can no doubt go longer, but why wait? Absolutely singing with farfalle and sweet Italian sausage. — 15 days ago
