Very nice. Med acid, mineral notes, high salinity, love it — 4 years ago
Mary BD 11/19/21 with suckling pig. Opened at the end. Terrific Barolo with all the classic varietal profile. Pleasure to drink though didn’t quite match the Brunello in pairing the pig. Last one and winery defunct. — 5 years ago
Deep red purple. Huge red fruit explosion on the on the nose and pallet at first. Nice counterbalance with earthiness and acidity. Some tobacco towards the end. This is bold and savory with round but firm tannings. Time has ironed out the nuances and evolved it into a sleek libation. — 6 years ago
2013 vintage Mira Luna Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Blacktail Vineyard.
Crazy light color on this, perhaps the lightest red wine I've ever had. Bordering on rose status!
Good amount of cranberry and pomegranate on the nose also featuring some pretty well integrated oak aging on the palate. For a 5 year old wine the acid and structure hold up really well. I don't think this wine will change the world, but it will damn sure make it better. — 8 years ago

I have usually had the good fortune to drink one bottle annually in recent memory. Such a light, fresh palate, which I find typical of Valdespino. Can go with food or without. Medium bodied, if caramel was de sweetened & injected with some mushrooms, kinda on the right flavor path. It’s freshness is its strength — 5 years ago

What an amazing Chardonnay from South Africa. I was already a fan of S African wines, but hadn’t tried a Chardonnay. A beautiful taste, not too buttery, it was a perfect summery glass with our bbq. — a year ago
2017 vintage. Medium-heavy body alongside dark color and a dense nose. Enough fruit to please but not enough to overwhelm the balance. A very pleasant exeunt comprised of cassis, plum and milk chocolate. Nice for the price and drinking well now. 3.29.23. — 3 years ago
Smooth cabernet sauvignon — 4 years ago
Got from Costco. Good. Opened with Mark and Mira — 6 years ago
Seven year old Napa Cab in its most inviting form. Big fruit bomb initially, transitions to vanilla, then oak and lastly an earthy savoriness; the tannings are very round. Extremely enjoyable, and you can’t beat the food pairing: USDA Prime New York steak. — 6 years ago
Singed wood, dried tobacco, bitter almond, this has a lot to give. — 8 years ago
Really like this wine much better now than before. Wish I had more in the cellar — 8 years ago
