What a special beer, the story behind this great beer is just as great, big tropical and citrus notes, hops are sweet and not bitter, in my opinion rivals Zombie Dust, so much easier to get too, Awesome Pale Ale, SD style!!! — 10 years ago

“The Return of Mike Grammer” Dinner on 7/5. - although I have met up with Toronto native Mike Grammer at an annual charity event in the OC several times, we hosted a dinner for Mike on Thursday marking his first return to the San Diego area since 2009. The original dinner nine years ago was my first wine offline event, and I met a number of great folks that I have been able to share wine with since that time. We capped the 2009 dinner off with a phenomenal 2001 La Tour Blanche contributed by @Bill Bender and Mike brought a 2011 version to commemorate that evening. Great to share a night of wine and fun with some of the SD crew. Cheers! — 8 years ago

This is the San Diego brewed variety. Unfortunately it makes no mention of the venerable civet, but it still tastes fantastic. Very highly carbonated in the can resulting in a large, unavoidable, stable head. — 9 years ago

A true classic, first ever IPA brewed in San Diego, my all time favorite place for IPA's holds up pretty well after 20 plus years, nice citrus and tropical notes, less of course than current IPA's, but overall solid IPA, and as I said it is a classic, if you in SD, and are a beer Geek, it is a must to try, esp on tap, have a growler filled up right now, excellent brew — 11 years ago
