Bright red fruit with smooth finish — 2 years ago
1896 vines. Deep red blackberry flavor. Just south of Geyserville in Alexander Valley — 5 years ago
Still young and red fruit forward- would still leave for another 5 years for more tertiary development. Small amount of tabbaco and forest floor on mid-palate..integrates tannins. Want nicely with a good hanger steak. — 7 years ago

Tasted at the new Geyserville tasting room. What a beautiful setting. The new silver oaks are really terrific wines. I particularly liked this 2014 Alexander valley. It was so true to its Cabernet roots and should glide effortlessly in the cellar for many many years — 8 years ago
Blend of 76 percent Zinfandel with 16 percent Carignane, 6 percent Petit Syrah, 2 percent Alicante Bouschet. Blackberry, plum and some earthiness on the palate. February 2026. — 5 months ago
My second favorite Ridge just behind Geyserville. — 5 years ago
Very nice. — 6 years ago
Had to try the 2016 vintage and I think it is better than ‘15. Of course it’s fruit driven but it seems to have more depth and be more balanced. Blackcurrant, vanilla, baking spice and some lightly bitter cacao on the palate. I think for the price this a great ‘heavy’ Napa Cabernet. A good Papillon should hopefully mean that there is a good Mercury Head to be tasted; looking forward to finding out. — 7 years ago
Fruit bomb. Lots of fruit — 8 years ago
Had the Zinfandel but only Cab is listed. Loved it at the winery... great people; great family story. — 4 months ago
We had this in Geyserville at Diabalo with Tamera delicious! — 7 months ago
fully developed...holds up against the best of cabernet — 5 years ago
This wine was a knockout! Full bodied, great nose and fruit and an earthy feel. Best Carignane I’ve had. It doesn’t hurt that it’s from a historic old vine block at Lytton Springs. — 7 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2023 pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and dried mixed brambles, Luxardo cherries, red and purple flowers, black pepper, vanilla and dry earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This is one of the more approachable young Geyserville’s I’ve had in a long time and remains on of my favorite Zinfandel-based blends from Ridge. Drink now through 2048. — 10 days ago
