This is now in my top 10 everyday wines! Definitely requires some time to open up (roughly 1-2 hours). Heavy tart red with blackberry, dark cherry, full body, silky satin start and tapers to a creamy tart finish that resonates for about 3-4 minutes. Poured in 1.5 to 2 oz splashes is the best way to drink...

One of the best wines I've ever experienced. Be sure to decanter and or aerate. It keeps getting better throughout the meal. I'm not a wine expert but I now know what multilayered means! Velvety and rich. Just plain liquid gold!

At first open the tightness was pretty wild, a lot of spice and intensity packed into it with a deep extraction. As it opened up over a few hours all of that seemed to disappear and what was left was deep extraction and a lot of candy and perhaps I was already worn out by its intensity or maybe this is the kind of wine that needs to sit around the kitchen open for many days to be sipped on at snack time. I would not recommend drinking this all at once unless you're into the daily burger diet in which case by all means this might entertain you in one sitting. And perhaps this chick is just too fat for my taste. 🙊

Peppery and soft. Quite subtle on the palate with a hint of whiskey to start but ends fast. Medium tannins. Smokey, antique store nose.

Rich and needs to breathe. It's almost a meal by itself.

Plush chocolate, little chickory undertone, sarsaparilla with dark fruit goodness. Darn nice wine
