A blend of 80% Petit Rouge with the rest from Vien de Nus, Doucet, Fumin, and Mayolet - grapes I’m totally blind to. It’s beautiful and speaks the language of the rustic Italian countryside. It has the power, transparency, and boldness of Nebbiolo, but with cool dark berries instead of bright cherries and leather. — 5 years ago
Another pleasing Ital MTN vino, just wish sommeliers would offer these over those over production homogenized wines — 9 years ago
Magnificent Alpine Red. Blend of Petite Rouge (75%), Mayolet (5%), Vien de Nus (10%) and Premetta (5%). Medium red color with purple highlights. Intense aromas and flavors of dark chocolate, black cherry/elderberry/huckleberry fruit, purple flowers, roasted nuts, black licorice and pepper spice. Firm tannins and a long, lingering and velvety finish. No sign of oak aging. Well balanced with excellent structure. A most pleasant surprise. Revisited in January 2024. Excellent! — a year ago
Really enjoyed for the price and balance and tannins. Not a bold taste, but a good fall wine — 3 years ago
It's pretty much perfect. — 7 years ago
This red blend from Valle d'Aosta was remarkably smooth and light on its feet considering it's 14% ABV. Notes of red fruit on the nose and berry jam on the palate. Very enjoyable! A blend of Petite Rouge, Cornalin, Mayolet, and Fumin. 6/14/23. — 2 years ago

A gorgeous expression of the region, reminiscent of wild berries and alpine breeze. A nose of candied cherry and chamomile, evolving to clove and cinnamon. Palate is delicate, a subtle expression of fruity liveliness and fresh herbs, leaving you ponderous and refreshed. — 9 years ago

Roughly 50% Petite Rouge with the balance being a field blend of Coralin, Fumin, Mayolet, Vien de Nus and Gamay. Medium garnet color. Aromas and flavors of red and black cherry, purple flowers, black raspberry, cranberry, almonds and pepper spice. Nice rustic and smoky earthiness on the long finish. Medium-minus body, light tannins and beautifully balanced. Needs some time to open up. Small production and unique. Excellent choice, Petey P! Love this producer! Revisited in September 2024. Quite a unique crowd pleaser. — 5 months ago
