Smooth, lightly fruity, not tart, not funky. One of the best orange wines I've had so far — 3 months ago

San Hercurmer delle Frecce Shake Ridge Vineyard Barbera 2018

Tart black cherry, anise, pine and alpine vibes, high acidity, low spicy tannins.
A beautiful Cali Barbera with the acidity and spice of Piemonte, with the high toned fruit of California sunshine. I love!

C Ghost Mondeuse 2017

Alder Yarrow
9.0

This bottle was lost in the cellar for a little while, but I noticed it today while looking for something refreshing and red. It had a tightness of tannin and a stony backdrop against which flavors of mulberry and sour cherry and boysenberry all popped, juicy and bright thanks to excellent acidity. Another rare creature. — 4 years ago

Queen of the Sierra Zinfandel Rosé Blend 2022

This deep-pink rosé made with whole-cluster Grenache, Tempranillo, and Zinfandel grapes is absolutely dynamite!

Produced by Forlorn Hope, from the organically-farmed Rorick Heritage Vineyard in the Sierra Foothills of Calaveras County, CA.

It bursts onto the palate with juicy watermelon, hibiscus, white tea, raspberry, strawberries and cream, opening up to a textural mouthfeel, made fresh with bright acidity. It’s delicious.

Cheers to high-quality, small-batch producers that are carving a new path in California!
