The 2020 Cabernet Franc Matías Riccitelli Viñedos de Montaña hails from the lower eastern border of Los Chacayes (3,500 fasl) in the Uco Valley and was fermented in concrete vats before aging for 16 months in French foudres. In the glass, it's garnet-red with a purple sheen. The nose presents notes of ash, green bell pepper, blackcurrant and blackberry over a layer of oak. Dry and broad, the warm year has brought a velvety texture that contrasts with a chalky mouthfeel and rich palate. The 2020 ends with a long finish of dark fruit. Nice well rounded Chardonnay with notes of honey, straw and pear. — 2 months ago
Ripe exotic nose with pineapple, yellow pear, guava, but also a stony undertone.
On the palate with nice breadth but also fresh acidity. Juicy, ripe yellow fruit with a cool herby finish. Nice energy & length.
Nice blend that falls not far stylistically from southern Burgundy but does not become a caricature.

A Mencia from Bierzo made by an Argentine vintner that tastes more like a Californian Cab Franc. And it’s delicious. Concentrated and a cool blue tone, though all blackberries & cassis notes. Some moderate funk that fades with air, seamless tannins. Not your typical Bierzo either,so the whole package is fascinating. And, under 19$… — 3 years ago
