Wheated-bourbon distillate, without barrel aging. Fruity, gin-like. Delicious! (courtesy of Wine & Highball bar in Kyoto). — 8 years ago

A big old beast of a Bajan Rum. Drop of water is suggested to tame it. Big rubbery and caramel nose, acetone obviously as the ABV is off the chart. Molasses lingers on the palette with hits of golden syrup and oak. It’s fucking good :) — 5 years ago

2023 Whisky Advent Calendar, Day 17: Stauning Single Cask Barley Madeira. Wow, a lot of oomph here. Single cask, distilled 2017, bottled 2022, first aged in a Maker’s Mark bourbon barrel, then in a Madeira cask. Toffee, vanilla, butterscotch, maple, brown sugar, stone fruit, baking spices. A lot going on. I like this. — 2 years ago
Had grand marnier for the first time Wednesday 👌🏻 and just took a swig of Maker’s Mark straight for the first time. A week of firsts! — 8 years ago

Leeroy’s Dust Bowl Blues. Drank in the presence of Mark S. Wonderful non-cloying caramel. A bit of a bite mid-palate, but very drinkable. Among the better purples. — 2 months ago
