A very palatable Chardonnay sourced from a vineyard located in Vergisson, which faces the prominent “Roche de Solutré” within <6 miles from Macôn. It displays all about balance between acidity and creaminess, white florals on the nose, some appealing citrusy notes, yet an inviting minerality provides a great balance as soon the wine navigates through your palate. Overly clean with some distant Quincy notes as well. It is a splendid casual sipper! — 7 months ago
Chardonnay from Pouilly-Fuissés’ less famous neighbor, about 10km south-west of Mâcon in southern Burgundy. Aged in stainless steel and oak for 6 months. Pale yellow color. Delicate. Some floral notes

Laurent Delaunay – Pouilly-Fuissé Chardonnay 2023
Burgundy, France 🇫🇷
Overview
Made from 100% Chardonnay, this wine comes from Pouilly-Fuissé, one of the most prestigious appellations of the Mâconnais in southern Burgundy. Known for its limestone-rich soils and sun-kissed slopes at the foot of the Roche de Solutré, the region consistently delivers structured yet elegant expressions of Chardonnay.
Aromas & Flavors
Bright and inviting, the nose opens with white peach, citrus zest, and pear, layered with floral notes of acacia and a subtle mineral undertone. On the palate, ripe orchard fruits blend with lemon curd, toasted almonds, and a touch of honey, all balanced by a clean saline streak.
Mouthfeel
Medium-bodied, fresh, and precise. The texture shows a lovely balance between richness and crisp acidity, with a long, elegant finish that carries hints of stone fruit and chalky minerality.
Winemaking Notes
Carefully selected Chardonnay grapes were vinified partly in stainless steel to preserve freshness, with a portion aged in oak barrels to add depth and complexity. This dual approach highlights the harmony between fruit purity and gentle richness.
Food Pairing
Perfect alongside roast chicken, seared scallops, or creamy mushroom risotto. For cheese lovers, pair with Comté or aged goat cheese.
Verdict
A polished and modern take on Pouilly-Fuissé, combining Burgundian minerality with approachable fruit. The 2023 vintage feels bright and youthful now but has the depth to develop further over the next few years. — a month ago
The 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé En Bertilionne comes from vines planted in the 1950s on the border of the appellation next to Mâcon-Solutré, located on pink marn soils. It is exposed to the wind and is prone to oïdium. It has a discrete bouquet, reluctantly offering yellow fruit and oily aromas. A faint touch of menthol might become accentuated with bottle age. The palate is crisp, fresh and well-balanced. A pleasant bitter lemon note counterbalances what feels like a slightly richer style of Pouilly-Fuissé. Perhaps it doesn't fully possess the same complexity on the finish as other vintages I have tasted. Nevertheless, it will age well in bottle. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2023)

From vines up to 80 years old, pale lemon with aromas of stone fruits, citrus and floral aromas, aged 50% in older French oak barrels and 50% in stainless for 8 months. On the palate flavors of ripe apple and peach, citrus and honeysuckle, lively acidity with smoky spice notes. Long finish ending with a creamy texture and wet mineral character. Very nice, only 900 cases, will age some. — 4 years ago
Opened shortly before dinner. The 2018 Macon-Solutré pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tropical and citrus fruits: Passion fruit, lemon meringue, almonds, brioche, yellow flowers, and hot rocks after a rain. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose with a dollop of butter. The finish is medium+ and the texture is creamy. Drink now through 2028. — 5 months ago
A splendid 100% Chardonnay from 5th Gonon’s generation family-owned vineyard. Their cultivated plots are located by the proximity of the celebrated Solutré limestone escarpment, which is known to have a solid influence within the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. This translates to highly enticing flavors, balanced ripeness, that crossover between nose and palate. Yet, the progression of tropical fruits and a hint of caramelized notes and taste makes it really rounded and homogenous. The mouthfeel is integrated with a hint of toasty notes that pushes the finish over 5 seconds. This wine gives you the run for the money! — 6 months ago
Pouilly and Fuissé are the names of two villages in the Mâconnais region, located at the foot of the famous Solutré and Vergisson rocks. The vineyards cover a total of 850 hectares which are divided between four communes. Medium lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and nutty floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, melon and lemon citrus with notes of honey and nutty oak. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity and ends with minerality. Nice! — 2 years ago
Love this producer. This Macon is showing a more savory side than the Pouilly wines of the same vintage. Open knit and easy going, this caresses the palate with notes of yellow apples and herbs, with marzipan and a slate-y oyster shell minerality on the finish. Fairly rich and broad. Open for business and drinking very well. Very tasty stuff. — 5 years ago

Jules Desjourneys – the Coche-Dury of the Mâcon region.
Jean-Marc Vincent's extreme dedication and philosophy towards winemaking are truly moving. This bottle was only 500 HKD, yet it rivals the village-level wines from Burgundy's most famous domaines or the premier crus from second-tier producers.
I first tasted it at a three-Michelin-starred *table* in Paris. The sommelier recommended it as an "insider's wine," known among those in the know for its ultimate quality-to-price ratio, often called a "hidden gem" or "a critic's secret" on the market.
My Tasting Note:
The second time I enjoyed it was in Hong Kong, where I shared several bottles with friends as a casual table wine. To our delight, it was universally praised. After just half an hour of opening, it revealed aromas of petite white flowers and clove; On the palate, it was complex with flavors of white peach, clementine, and yeasty brioche. The acidity was precise and refined, with excellent concentration and a rich mineral drive that showcased the pedigree of a truly good wine. — 22 days ago
