The texture of this wine is so soft and velvety. The fruit is ripe and Lucius but not overly so. It's followed by pronounced tannins and acidity that is very nicely balanced with stony minerals. This is definitely one of the better petite sirah's I've had. This winery consistently produces top notch wines and this is no exception. — 8 years ago
Juicy and a little smoky. — 6 months ago
This is a juicy mouthful of Pinot Noir. Lucius black cherry with moderate tannins and fuller body. Excellent finish. — 4 years ago
Nose: aged nebbiolo. Old library. Cherry remnants. Dried roses. Expansive as it opens.
Palate: silky cherry juice. So elegant. Sour cherries. Lovely. So fresh.
The nose is approaching amazing old Nebbiolo. The palate is still half way between young Lucius fruit and old nebbiolo.
I’d give this 3 years at this point. But it proves that these wines can and will age beautifully — a year ago

This wine will give the run for the money (around $20-ish), taste a fell absolute Lucius, a beautiful concept guided by legendary Michel Roland from a single vineyard at the valley de Uco, Argentina. A complex blend dominated by half (50%) Malbec, 24% Merlot, 11% Syrah, 7% cab sauv, 3% Petit Verdot, and 5% Cab Franc. Tanning are solid, inky and waxy texture with a long finish.
