Pommery

Cuvée Louise Brut Champagne Blend 2004

This took time to open when it did I leaned towards aged grand cru burgundy as the bubbles were fine and faded fast. Intense power and creaminess as it unfolded. Lots of acid that made this drink well with almost every dish.

Silex Noir Vouvray Chenin Blanc 2018

This is bursting at the seems with juicy green and rounded (not tart) green apple and powdery rocks. If they made a wine Gusher, this is what I dreamed it would taste like. I did not expect this - incredible! — 10 months ago

I taste earthiness, and cherries. Good mouth feel and light tannins. I would definitely recommend this wine. — a year ago

Clos De La Tech

Domaine Lois Louise Cote Sud Pinot Noir 2017

2017 vintage. Medium-heavy body. Dark color. Rhubarby, plummy nose. Muscular with a consistent palate fill and push the entire show. No dropoff anywhere. Not as delicate as I’d like but this is the best domestic Pinot I’ve had in a while. Holy bleep. 1.10.24. — 4 months ago

New name to me. Stemmy? Lean?

@Shay A Not lean and maybe some stem inclusion but not obvious/overt. Big body w/o fruit bomb status. Low production but if you can find online or retail (don’t think it’s avail retail), would likely clock in around $90-$100.

Les Déronnières Vouvray Chenin Blanc 2020

Spectacular. Honeyed aroma, with chamomile, leading to quince and bruised apple, pineapple. Bright Meyer lemon acidity. Slightly off dry, beautifully balanced, loads and loads of complexity. — 5 months ago
