first and foremost was NOT expecting the orange color ~ have had numerous aged botrytis bottles ranging from golden to brown but the orange really threw me
apricot, quince, orange marmalade, grilled orange & pineapple, honey, caramelized brown sugar ~ plenty of sweet severed with acidity
though went well with diver scallops & risotto the most incredible pairing was with Stilton on Égalité mini toasts ~ and not just for flavor ~ but texturally transcendental — 5 years ago
Dry, yeasty, full bodied, delicious! — 6 years ago
Dark, full bodied, black and blue fruit with a through line of acidity. Hints of port on the finish. With nearly 10 years in bottle, it drank more like a cab than warmer climate Pinots, but had more vibrancy and delineation. — 7 months ago

Dark garnet color, strong jammy nose of dark plum, some earth & oak. A touch jammy in the mouth, full of fruit but with medium tannins and and ending dryness with an acidic final pucker. Medium body, dark red/black fruits, touch of spice. Very nice-even better as it warmed & more air- went to 9 from 8.9. — 5 years ago

Mild acidity, ripe berries, apple, and honey. Great springtime wine. — 6 years ago
