Light in taste and color. Lightly bitter. Easy drink. — 4 years ago
Tastes of blackberry and a little cocoa. The wine is velvety smooth with an excellent finish. This wine fights way above its weight. I agree with other users that it seems like a wine costing $25 or more, not $10. — 5 years ago
Fruity on the nose and dry on the palate. Goes well with a white fish. — 7 months ago
This is a big fruit forward wine. Probably the best DS I’ve had in awhile and ‘14s. Black licorice on the nose and a lot of baked dark fruit. Palate is well balance. Fruit, acid and great texture. — 4 years ago

Raisins and leather on the nose. Slightly sweet. Taste begins sweet and caramel; very full. Slightly alcohol forward. Dries out late with hints of oak and smoke. As someone else said, it's like the offspring of bourbon and rum. — 5 years ago
The higher alcohol content of this wine made this slightly more bitter than I would like, but still quite good! Very good value. — 2 years ago
Forest floor, sour cherry and fennel on the nose. Dark fruit, light spice and black tea. Smoky oak finish — 3 years ago

Medium garnet ,medium terracotta rim . Quite spiced , dried fruits, tobacco , touch of caramel , warm earth . Smoky . On the palate quite sweet mix of red and dark fruits, red plum , dark cherry , spiced tobacco, hickory . Quite sweet on the finish , menthol hint, with a touch of caramel on the finish, slightly grippy tannin. This improved quite a lot in the glass , with more fruit noticeable , fills out quite well , better balance. Drink now and over the next couple of years. — 2 months ago
