Another nice 2013 bottle. Great with leftover wagyu New York Strip
The Los Ricos Vineyard is a steep one acre block at the southwestern corner of the property. An ancient, dry-farmed prune orchard grew on the site when we came to the ranch in 1955. In 1997 we removed the remaining prune trees and replanted the field to Cabernet Sauvignon, using Clone 337 on 110R rootstock. The block extends from approximately 625 to 675 feet of elevation. The surface is east-facing at a grade of almost 20%, which means the vineyard receives significantly more morning sun and less afternoon sun than the other vineyards on the property. The soils are predominantly volcanic Rhyolite. — 3 years ago
Semi-sweet wine that was sweeter than I expected with a dark pink color and a light, fruity aroma. It is a smooth and light bodied drink that is very refreshing. The strawberry notes give way to hint of citrus in the medium finish. — 6 years ago
medium golden hue with glints of green; lemon, pear, honey, beeswax; slightly oxidative, citrus, minerality, good length; medium body, dry with only 0.6 g/L RS, high acidity, 12.9% ABV; made from 100% Riesling sourced from Kick-On Ranch in Los Alamos in Santa Barbara County, 48 hours of whole cluster maceration before pressing; $24 — 7 years ago
Great Texas wine with a delicious tart cherry bouquet. Overall it’s pretty well balanced, light oak, tart cherry flavor, spicy, slightly acidic, and low tannins. The acid and spice are a bit out of balance but don’t let that discourage you it’s a delicious and unique wine. — 7 years ago

One of the best american Rieslings out there. The Riesling was planted in 2007. Kick On Ranch is just a few miles West of Los Alamos (CA) , getting close to the ocean and Vandenberg Air Force Base. 120 cases. 13.5%. Plenty of acidity, 🍯 , botyris? , fresh cut garden hose. Quite herbal. Oregano. Tatomer’s top of the line offer. He learned the trade in Austria 🇦🇹, Wachau region. This 2019 is very very good. Not Mosel just different - and perhaps quintessential Californian. — a year ago
We went camping close to Los Olivos, CA ⛺️. But the goal was also to visit Union Sacre in Paso Robles on our way to Big Sur. And lucky for us we tasted with a Frenchmen XAVIER ARNAUDIN the winemaker all by ourselves. This guy is a lot of fun! All his whites were excellent and this Riesling is a standout! 20$. Rich 12.4% plenty of acid for balance. Quite herbaceous, tart and salty you almost taste the Santa Barbara sea breeze coming through. Honey melon Meyer lemon hint of mandarine waxy. Some Pro? gave this a 8.5 I cannot agree. For a Cali Riesling this is unique and better than most Tautomers. Highly recommended I will buy more and left with a case of whites when I left the tasting room - a winemaker to watch! — 6 years ago
Musty raspberry leather rose smell, great magenta color, dark but color is ripe, taste is rustic but balanced with a good central balance and creative flares that mix berries but not jam and wood with old mustiness but still slightly fresh and juicy (not sweet) that has thickness like a syrup but almost sweetness disguised in acid and some tannin — 7 years ago
A nice bold taste. A little different that most of the California cabs we drink but very nice — 8 years ago
