Dense, broody & chewy, with stewed blueberry & blackcurrant, a touch of cassis with a backdrop of mocha & tobacco leaf. This has some power but also surprising freshness. And the quality of tannins is great - big yet juicy & finely grained.
Great with a nice piece from the grill. — 15 days ago
I, surprisingly, liked this one! (Not always a pinot grigio fan.) Took a chance because I really enjoy their red blends- and so glad I did. Crisp, lightly fruity and perfect with cod tonight. I will buy again. — 24 days ago
2010 vintage. Another golden oldie from Blaye. Solid deep red colour with orange rim. Cedar and strawberry. Good concentration and structure, drinking perfectly now but will hold in a good cellar. Good length with some spiciness. Very good indeed and terrific value. — 19 days ago
Surprisingly sweet but light. Very good to enjoy on a warmer day. — 4 days ago
One of the beautiful value for money that we like to rediscover. A fairly straight syrah, "natural", the fruit is honoured with the typical notes of the grape variety in a over-vitamin version, Morocco's sun obliges. A slight woody note testifies to the beautiful mastery of winemaking and brings a distinguished touch to the whole. As often with this type of wine, you have to wait 3/5 years of ageing for the alcoholic ardour to act. 2017 just finds its equilbre, and could still win with 2 years of cellar
This was a decent cheap option but I would go for a full Gamay Rose instead since can get in basically same price point. — a month ago

The second wine from this Chilean producer. Big but not colossal. Nicely balanced. Medium acidity. Bordeaux style. I liked but didn’t love this...a teaser. — 14 days ago
