The nose brims with orchard and tropical fruit layered with honeysuckle and fresh herbs. On the palate, the acidity remains crisp and lively, yet there’s a gentle creaminess that rounds the edges with quiet sophistication.
At year 8, this 70/30 Petit Courbu/Petit Manseng blend remains a thoughtful meditation in the glass fitting to its name.

Hard to believe it’s the same grape that goes toward some of the most boring white wines available. This is wild; pretty peach color from a little skin contact, slight oxidative notes which add to the complexity without tiring the wine out, very lively, intense and fairly long finish, most of the fruit is around apricots. Lovely — 2 years ago
Slightly jammy with a rich dark berry finish. Slight earthy, cold stone-like background . Very good!! — 6 years ago
Concentrated cassis and twigs on the nose led a big, round and voluptuous layering of black fruit, pure espresso and toasted oak. Tannins have faded to blue, creating a long and soft finish that feels like this masterpiece has peaked. I’m told this is Sloan in a “bad” year. Fine by me....
So this is wine no. 1,000 for me on @delectable and I wanted to thank @Antonio Galloni for supporting and investing in this distinctive, global community of wine nerds, bon vivants, industry folks and general winos. It clearly holds a special place for its members. Yeah, I may gripe about the non-trending “Trending” section, but this is the best place there is on my iPhone to share and learn about the grape juice I love. So I joined Vinous, and am joining the paid Delectable, as this is the best I can do to support the Delectable team. I’ll also do my best to make it to the Barolo Rare Wine Dinner in NYC next week! Cheers. — 6 years ago
Nice light rose. Not too sweet — 8 years ago
This is very similar to Les Jardins Philosophiques from the sister property Bouscasse, with a bit more nutty lightly oxidative notes that almost points you to Jura Blanc. Textured body contrasts the crisp acidity nicely.
Usually a blend of Petit Courbu and Petit Manseng, but the back label shows 100% Petit Courbu for 2015. This will cruise for another 5-8 years. — 2 years ago
