Transparent Ruby red. Relatively high acidic due to from northern part. Spices. Light body but enough taste. Elegancy. Amaury Beaufort Les Jardins de la Porte de Troyes Rouge XIX, Pinot noir, Chablis 19 @4300, fruit, 241221 — a month ago
¡Que guay! Resplendent in aromas of raspberries, blackberries, and especially plums. Confirms my adoration of the Empordà region and the Garnaxa Negre varietal. Shockingly good for 4.99€. — 4 months ago
Fragrant nose with peach, pineapple, orange peel, lime, honey, and chrysanthemum. Medium to full body. Vibrant and intense, soften by creamy texture which is surprising given that this did not see any oaks. Hint of sweetness but dry. Great winemaking.
70/30 Petit Courbu/Petit Manseng. — a year ago
This is very similar to Les Jardins Philosophiques from the sister property Bouscasse, with a bit more nutty lightly oxidative notes that almost points you to Jura Blanc. Textured body contrasts the crisp acidity nicely.
Usually a blend of Petit Courbu and Petit Manseng, but the back label shows 100% Petit Courbu for 2015. This will cruise for another 5-8 years. — a month ago
Peach pit, nice and smooth. Absolutely smashed it with a dish of blistered snap beans in a dill dressing. — 6 months ago
Vintage 2016 | Not wine for purists but for bon vivants, I found the Tokay Pinot Gris character barely recognizable. There is a very small quantity made, with one barrel of acacia wood an one barrel of oak wood. That results in a beautiful refined wine that is ultimately harmonious, high acidity, hints of honey and minerals in aftertaste. Tending to Burgundy. Curious ánd lovely. — 3 years ago
