Medium ruby color.
Aromas of cherries, red plum, tomato leaf, flint, a bit of black pepper.
Dry, high acid, medium tannins, medium alcohol, full body.
On the palate, flavors turn more cooked fruit than the fresh fruit aromas suggest. Delicious!
An Italian tasting of Barbera, Tuscan Sangiovese, and Barolo with a fresh pasta, fresh tomato, chicken parmesan dinner.

Not much of a nose, but a bit fruity but kit strong. The flavor is bold cherry and hibiscus, with raspberry and ripe red fruits and high acidity. — 10 months ago

Superiore...2016 vintage. Emphasize the 1st and 3rd syllable...among the best of the class, real value if discovered. Balance, perfect dry tannins, smoothness, tart berry and depth of body excellent though at 15.5% alcohol... pretty unusual, powerful. — 4 months ago

Fruitiness favoring apricots and peaches with a hint of mineral to keep it interesting. The first scent immediately took me back to sitting outside in a piazza in Italia. This wine would taste even better with a good view. — 4 months ago
Very light, almost pink wine with a rich Italian flavor — 9 months ago
One of the most amazing Pinot Noirs I've had in a long time. Bodega Chacra, an exciting venture by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta - grandson of Tenuta San Guido's (Sassicaia) founder- focused on Pinot Noir. This wine comes from biodynamically farmed 60 year-old vines in the Rio Negro Valley of Patagonia, and as its name suggests, there is no added sulphur (sin azufre). Clean, precise, pure, nothing funky in it. Vibrant, amazing 🍒 — 2 years ago
